Aim and Purpose

 

Emeritus Professor Fusao Ota, M.D., Ph.D. had previously accepted  some Ethiopian students for several years from the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. One of them, Mr. Afework Kassu, now professor at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia had proved to be exceptionally ambitious, hard-working and intelligent with good personality and excellent papers in many prestigious international journals. In fact, he was granted the prize ”One of the best students from the School of Medicine, The University of Tokushima and  also with the best science prize in his university for his study during his studentship.

This scholarship is to aim at the promotion of world peace without nuclear and all other weapons through scientific achievement assisted by several voluntary contributors for helping financially Ethiopian students to collaborate in scientific studies/research with those at the University of Tokushima, Tokushima, Japan and/or to exchange of such scientists between the two institutes.

In 2014, previous Professor Takeshi Nishikawa at the University of Hokkaido and Mr. Eiji Abe, rotarian in district 2670 joined in this scholarship programmes with their new research areas.
