Dr. Nishikawa’s scope of study area

 

This financial aid is available for graduate students (M.S. and Ph.D.) or researchers registered in the University of Gondar, Ethiopia under the conditions below. This research aid is eligible for the applicants who wish to study in the area of “Clinical Medicine, in particular Dermatology and related research / Exchange of students and researchers ”.


1)This financial aid is supported by Dr. Takeshi Nishikawa, Hokkaidou Japan.

3)The stipend is inclusive of all necessary expenditure e.g. taxes and administrative fees by the Ethiopian and Japanese governments.

4)The scholarship may be extended to three years by submitting the full report and reapplication forms to be submitted each year to Prof. Fusao Ota.

5)The scholarship programme must start within 2 months after the notification to the recipients selected by the Association.

6)Applicants must submit a full report completed within 3 months after the end of the programme period. (See Report file)

7)After the end of the research programme any academic presentation and/or papers resulting from this programme must acknowledge the fund’s supporters in the acknowledgments section or as co-authors.

8)If application is for travel expenses the application forms must be accompanied with an estimate issued from a qualified travel agency.  In this case should the applicant combine this with other scholarship from a public or private sector for living expenses abroad application must be accompanied with a certificate authorised by such funding organization.

9)A successful candidate will be notified from Prof. Fusao Ota by e-mail only.

10) If application is for a research fund the applicant must submit detailed study programme including consumables such as names of items, their numbers and prices per unit, and in the case of labour the number of workers, the type and hours of work per person, and all receipts necessitated for this study/programme (See attachment 1 and 2)

11)Application forms submitted will be reviewed by some referees members in Japan and Ethiopia, appointed by Prof. Fusao Ota.

12)If application is for a research programme the successful candidate may extend the term up to 2 years by reapplication after the first year.(use the same application form for the first time)

13)Any form of failure to comply with the conditions above will be the end of stipend at the time of exposure of such actions and result in reimbursement of the stipend to the funding person.

14)Application must be accompanied with a recommendation letter signed by a professor in the University of Gondar, Ethiopia

15)Any of the conditions above are subject to change without notice.

16)Application and all subsequent processes including notification of successful candidate and reports are treated by e-mail only. All original receipts must be submitted by air mail at the end of scholarship term.

17)All applicants must understand all the conditions stated above and those in the application forms.


Addendum:

For a research programme stipend will be paid either directly into a bank account opened by the successful candidate or it may be paid in cash by hand from a traveller to Japan or the other way round. Should the stipend be taxable the candidate must bear any duty to pay taxes enforced by the Ethiopianand Japanese government.

Any payment for transaction on the Ethiopian side for receiving the stipend should be born by the successful candidate.

In the case of an exchange programme air ticket (s) will be sent by air mail to the successful candidate from a travel agency in Japan prior to the traveler’s journey to his destination.
